The four TSB Foundations were formed in 1986, covering England and Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands to continue TSB's tradition of supporting the community.
The Lloyds TSB Foundations are a result of the merger of Lloyds Bank and TSB Group in 1995.
The Lloyds TSB Foundations are shareholders in Lloyds TSB Group and, instead of a dividend, receive 1% of the Group's pre-tax profits averaged over three years.
The Foundations are legally independent of the Group. Their policies are determined by independent Boards of Trustees.
